GIRLS TEAM
GEORGIE KAUSCH
After being a life long soccer player, Georgie found a new passion playing ultimate their first year at Philadelphia University. They played on the mix team of their first semester before being part of the inaugural women's program in the spring of 2012. In their second year as a team, PhilaU made D3 Nationals, and as one of the primary handlers, Georgie played a significant role in helping the team place fifth. Georgie finished out their college career at PhilaU, including two years of captaining, before a series of unfortunate injuries kept them from playing competitive ultimate for a few years. It was during this time that they found a love of teaching the game of ultimate. In 2019, Georgie finally return to playing competitive ultimate where they played on Broad City. In 2021, they captained the inaugural season of Philadelphia Flock (now Zephyr), before moving up in the Philadelphia women's club program (the Flock) to play on Philadelphia Fight in 2022. While playing for the Flock, Georgie wanted to give back to the ultimate community, and ensure they would never be away from the sport they loved, so they decided to start coaching. In spring of 2023, Georgie took over as head coach of Radnor Girls Ultimate.
ZANE THOMPSON-BRADLEY
This is Zane's second year as an Ultimate coach. Zane started as an assistant coach for ColorBomb - an adult Mixed Division Club team focused on equity and dedicated to empowering players with diverse identities and was also the assistant coach for the U20 YCC Mixed team (Philadelphia Forge) that traveled to Nationals. This is Zane's ninth year playing Ultimate, having started at Haverford High School and continuing through college and club. Zane looks forward to bringing the best out of everyone, sharing my experience with the team, and having fun with everyone.
BOYS TEAM
JEREME MASON has been playing ultimate for 18 years. He started in 2003 at Philadelphia University (now Jefferson University) where he and a few others founded the university's first Ultimate team. He played at Drexel for a year in 2008. Jereme then went on to teach Anatomy and Physiology as a professor at PhilaU while coaching the ultimate team. The team quickly grew and split into an open and women's squad where Jereme helped coach. In 2012, the women's team placed 5th at DIII College nationals. Jereme also played with Bitmap, a mixed club team in Philadelphia, and went to club regionals in 2013. He is passionate about developing youth ultimate programs and players in our region and currently serves as the Youth Director for PADA since April 2017. In addition, Jereme operates his own Ultimate company, UltiPlanning.
MIKE YONDA joined the coaching fraternity at Radnor Ultimate Fall 2017, brings a long history playing at the highest levels and teaching younger players. Mike began playing competitively with the “Cornell Buds” at Cornell University in 1980 where he captained for three years and led the team to the semifinals of College Nationals and numerous tournament titles. He remained in Ithaca after graduation to coach the Buds and build the program including the development of a second team, the Cornell Shake, which continues to develop young Buds to this day. In the late 1980’s while a graduate student at Columbia University, Mike was a founding member and primary handler for NY Ultimate, perhaps the greatest team in Ultimate history, winner of six straight national Club Open Division championships and numerous Open World Championships. Mike makes several appearances in “Flatball - A History of Ultimate Frisbee”(available on Netflix) a recently-released feature film which documents NY Ultimate’s primacy in their era. After moving to Philadelphia in the mid 1990s, Mike closed out his competitive days on the Philadelphia Rage. He continues to play recreationally in local leagues where he shares his hard earned Ultimate wisdom with developing and veteran players alike.
STEVE LIENERT got his start playing Ultimate at Central High School in Philadelphia in 1987. He remained active in the sport until the end of the 2019 season. After Central he attended East Carolina University where he won back-to-back College National Championships in 1994 and 1995. He returned to Philadelphia to help pilot the Philadelphia Rage to Open Nationals in 1996 and 1998. Rage was the first Philadelphia-only men’s club team to reach Open Nationals, finishing 5th in the country in 1998. Lienert began coaching at Radnor in 2009. He regretfully left in 2014 to become the Head Coach of the Philadelphia Phoenix in the AUDL. While there he led the first Armed Forces Entertainment Tour for Ultimate to far away places like Bahrain and Diego Garcia. He returned to Radnor in the spring of 2021.
